Let’s take a step back for a moment…
How did I get to where I am?

I have talked about who I am and a bit of my story, but my fitness journey has been a long process that I never thought would land me where I am.
Beginning with my desire to know more about the body, how it works and how I can help others achieve their healthiest selves, I decided to start studying and going back to school for personal training. I had been a stay-at-home mom for 15 years and knew I desired to get working again (I am motivated by helping others and being in a professional environment).
After studying for months, I passed my exams and received all of the many certifications (ranging a variety of fitness, health and wellness topics) I worked so hard for. I wasn’t fully sure where I wanted to go from there, but I felt as though I had a clean slate to begin in any way I felt was right for me.
So naturally I began training close friends out my own home with very minimal equipment (not ideal). I enjoyed what I was doing, but after a couple years I felt it was time to expand. I now was fully confident I could do this!
I went out on the hunt for gym space I could work in. I bounced around from space to space. It was hard finding somewhere that was the right fit. I wanted a motivational environment that was focused on fitness but also was conducive to my other wellness goals with my clients (who span all ages and each require different approaches to their health). I truly met some amazing people along the way (some of whom are still dedicated clients and close friends today).

Then, when I was in a moment of great need, God answered my prayers. I was able to transfer my business into a private space in the St. Martin’s Episcopal School Activity Center.
What a whirlwind it has been to get to this place, but I couldn’t be more blessed. Though the Activity Center space I occupy is a top notch gym space now, it wasn’t always that way.
But, with the help of close friends, Activity Center/church staff members and my family, we upgraded the flooring and every machine in the gym. This could not have been possible without the oh so generous donation from one of my closest friends Nancy Shawell. THANK YOU!
I get up every single day inspired to be in such a loving environment doing what I am passionate about. I have developed relationships beyond what I could have imagined, and I am so excited to be where I am.
Though it has been a journey to get to where I am, I count my blessings and know I am where God intended me to be.
